Dynamic DNS feature unreliable:
The IP not refreshing if changed by ISP and this sometimes completely
stops the IQ server engine from running.
Unreliable IP detection:
If the GUI can NOT detect WAN IP when you start it and you click Yes
to "Do you want it to keep trying to detect WAN IP every 5 seconds?",
then the GUI becomes unstable and unusuable in it's refresh cycles. You
have to stop the entire engine and restart it again, then start the GUI
againg to see if it can detect the WAN IP. Yes, I know you can click No
to "Do you want to keep trying to detect WAN IP every 5 seconds?", but
what is the point of this? Since it is necessary for the
IQ server to send a request to fastream.com to accomplish part of IP
detection and fastream.com is many times not available from the
hosting service, consider using a hosting service that can really
provide reliable up-time for the great number of requests. I know you
recently changed hosting services, but maybe it is time to consider
changing to one can really deliver reliability. Part of the issue may
also be because our ISP DNS servers are not always available. Maybe
code the server to access 203.22.204.87 instead of fastream.com ,
then our ISP DNS servers will not be needed for the request.
