Took a couple of images of a wee little spider, about an 1/8 of an inch
hiding in one of my roses a few hours ago. I think I am getting there slowly but
surely, I really don't mind any constructi ve criticism, it's the only way I'll
keep learning especially when it comes to post-processing. I do intend on
going to a photoshop class and take advantage of their student discount for PS,
I have 2 kids in that college as well so I guess we have "earned" the discount
by paying the tuition
and
Hope everyone has a great day!

It's too cute!
Ch eap way to do Photoshop class: www.lynda.com I got a free month from
registering my PS. Also, I don't know if you have an old version of PS,
but upgrading might be cheaper than getting the student discount. Don't
know.

Dee, I think that you have most of the things right
here! the focus is close... if you move the focus point a bit farther back
on the spider, the DOF may help you, stop the lens down to F16 as well to
increase the DOF, and then the bad part for those who do not like spiders... get
closer! the macro is not being used here as you are still too far away
from the subject to have 1:1! I don't know which lens you are using, but
for the nimkon 105 you would need to be at about 9 inches from the spider!
Good luck!
