Have any of you tried this with the D200? The author of the article
says that it works with a D50, 70 70s and D80.

Hello,

I don't think this will work. The D200 has no infrared "eye". I have
purchased this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Pro-Wireless-Remote-for-Nikon-D200-D2X-D100-MC-30-R7C_W0QQitemZ200138860657QQihZ010QQcategoryZ64345QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

from ebay and it works great. Has dual stage button just like the real
shutter release. push halfway lights up green for focus, all the lay
lights up red for exposure..

I did this with my D70 but I don't think the D200 uses an IR Remote.

I do however have a Remote Cable release that works with the D200 & F100.

James, you are correct. this works with all of the camera's below the D200 but not hte D200 or the D2 series! They take a wired remote... however, you can also purchase a wirless remote for them as well, but they work throught the wored remote! I have used the TV remote to trigger my D70 using JVC TV codes and it worked for me up to about 75feet!
