Thread: new NUT repository

new NUT repository
user name

I've created a new NUT repository that contains the old NUT
repository
and the specification files (oggless-xiph-codecs.txt,
nut.txt, mpcf.txt,
mncf.txt) each in a separate directory.

svn://svn.mplayerhq.hu/nut.merged/
http://svn.mplaye
rhq.hu/nut.merged/

Make sure it works as expected. If it does we can do away
with the old
one and remove the specification files from the MPlayer
repository.

enjoy

Oded is happy with the repository, nobody else complained.
So if there
are no further objections, I will remove the files from the
MPlayer
repository after the weekend.

It's also been my experience that having separate svn
repositories
causes pain later on. Since svn doesn't have built in
support for
distributed merges, you can't put things back together again
without
breaking either version number references or revision lookup
by date.
So you need to be really sure the projects are completely
separate.

You've also broken all the links to xiph-oggless out there.

ive added some short text in its place to point to the new
one
does that help? or do you have another suggestion how to fix
it
personally id revert the whole move, though iam not sure
what the other
developers think about that ...

Its not that you shouldnt use gotos but rather that you
should write
readable code and code with gotos often but not always is
less readable

That does help, thanks.

Google's best link is actually

http://www.mplayerhq.hu/DOCS/tech/oggless-xiph-codecs.t
xt

Which hasn't broken yet.

I've added the MPlayer committers.

Disagree strongly, but I really have no interest in flaming
about this
issue.

Yes, we know that now. It's called the benefit of
hindsight.

What links?

Guys, get your act together and create a proper website.
One that does
not disappear every few weeks would be a plus.

Seriously, why not put up the web page again or anything
really...
