Hi Nicolas,

I just stumbled upon some emails/rumors that NGinx was
considering
integrating NekoVM directly into its http_script_module.
There were a
few messages back in May 2007 regarding this. I haven't
been able to
find anything since.

You had mentioned that you might email Igor (the author of
nginx). Did
you get a chance to email him? Any news?

If that did happen, it could benefit HaXe/NekoVM adoption
due to the
increasing popularity of NGinx in the Ruby/Rails community.
I know I
would be excited to have hosting for NekoVM more available
by piggy
backing off Rails deployments.

Regards,
Brian

Hi Brian

this may interest you

btw, you can already proxy hxServlet behind nginx or lighty
if you need
dynamic neko content.

Cheers

Indeed. Thanks for that!

One of these days I'm going to have to hookup hxServlet Need to
upgrade my server to run all the things I want to run
first...

The benefit to NGinx integration is that NekoVM will already
be deployed
whereever NGinx is run. This should provide a lot more
hosting options
to HaXe developers as NGinx is quite popular in the Ruby on
Rails world.

Hi,

Yes, I sent an email to Igor last time we talked about it,
but didn't
get any answer yet.

Best,
Nicolas
