hmm. dhclient borked?

I can't see any other reports of this, but I am loath to
submit a PR if
its just transitional, or already known.

-that 8bit interface descr has me worried. Is this
wide-chars
naughtyness? or a driver change? It does the same thing on
an ath0 so I
don't think its about the if per se..

I can ifconfig the i/f manually so I'm not offline.
