Printing the latest version of the NetBSD Guide says
something like
"2006/01/16" on the front page, while the page
was modified a few days
ago. Apparently that date is constructed from the CVS tag of
the
netbsd.xml file (only).

Can we either make this more sane, or remove this feature?
I think even manual maintaining is better than using a
completely
misleading date...

I think the date should come from all the *.xml files (the
most
recent one). I would prefer to do that.

Yes, that would make the most sence.
Do you happen to know how to do that? :->

We can have a hidden entity in every XML file with the CVS
modification date and then use it on netbsd.xml, but I
don't know if
this would work on the default split chapters version. We
can script
the thing too.
