Okay. I was not sure, if netbsd-docs is the correct  place
to ask, as I 
don't  know who maintains the Projects
webpage So, whom to bother about this?

I don't think there has been a public, official statement
yet, but
TNF considers CDDL to be not suitable for in-tree code.

An LKM (which is what FreeBSD did for ZFS, IIUC) is ok
though.

I'm not sure there are any volunteers scared away by the
slightly strong
wording of that particular project description.
