I think wine has two meanings in english...
Well, I just tried the -current wine ( 0.9.18nb2 ) on my
i686
laptop. It builds, but I still have this error message :
memory fault.
This is weard, as the 2006Q2 binary package used to work on
my other pc.
The only option I used is X11_TYPE=xorg. Is there an
other option I
should put in my mk.conf ?
Does anybody have an idea ? What option do you use to
build those
binary packages ?
    Thanks a lot...

I would start by testing the memory and/or replacing it with
known
good memory.

Not sure if any kind of hardware diagnostic ships with
NetBSD, but
I think you can put http://www.memtest86.com/ on a usb stick and
boot that.

wine has to go through hoops to stop stuff being mmap'ed
above 2GB.
I'm not sure that any of the wine developers use netbsd...
