patch file name for perl5 ( 3.1 )

A friend of mine is trying to build some packages on his
fresh install
of 3.1 ( i386 ), when he runs 'make install' in
/pkgsrc/lang/perl5 it
stops and wants a patch file name. I have never seen this so
I'm
clueless at the moment.
