ath0: discarding oversize frame (len = 2034)

For the first time I'm trying to set up a laptop to connect
to a
"Buffalo Air Station" via a "Laneed
LD-WL54/CB" card.  I got the
ath driver compiled into the kernel, and the card seems to
be probed
okay, but I get these warnings/errors:
     "ath0: discarding oversize frame (len =
2034)".

Is this serious; how do I correct it?  I'd rather have other
issues
resolved before moving on to trying to connect to the
wireless router.
(Have to do authentification and dhcp, so I doubt it will be
a piece
of cake.)  TIA
