| I have files identified with file(1) as:
RIFF (little-endian) data, WAVE audio, Microsoft PCM, 8 bit, mono 11025 Hz
RIFF (little-endian) data, WAVE audio, Microsoft PCM, 8 bit, mono 44100 Hz
RIFF (little-endian) data, WAVE audio, Microsoft PCM, 8 bit, mono 22050 Hz
Can anyone share examples of playing these using NetBSD tools?
And is there any tool included with NetBSD to autodetect this?
Thanks,
Jeremy C. Reed
p.s. I am trying xchat and want it to have sounds.

| I received a couple replies off-list.
It ended up that audioplay did work for me -- without any extra command
line arguments (other than wav file name). I don't know what caused my
problem before -- I think I was just using some wave files that made
garbage noise in the first place so I assumed it was the player.
