ACE on netBSD

Hi,
     has anybody tried using ACE on netBSD. I am having
issues with the 
ACE_TASK/ACE_REACTOR. The activate of the ACE_TASK thread
doesnt seem to spawn 
a thread. pls note that ACE has already been compiled with
the pthread option.
