timecounter delay in current

Has anyone else noticed a delay of three to four minutes
during booting 
after the timecounter messages are posted? I've got a first
generation 
iMac running current here, and that's what I'm seeing
immediately after 
the last timecounter message and before the uhub1 at uhub0
message.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
