Hello
Yesterday I succesfully installed NetBSD 3.0.1 on my mac
mini. First
thanks to all developpers who put a great amount of work
into making
NetBSD works on powerpc !
The biggest problem I got so far was that in using XFree86
with a third
party MacAlly ikeyslim usb mac-like keyboard, two keys are
exchanged the
^° key with the <> ( it 's a german keyboard ) But
according to some hard
googling
http://lists.debian.org/debian-powerpc/2003/08/msg00
394.html
the problem comes from the keyboard and anyway I can fix it
with some
xmodmap.
I have some questions though :
The partitionning howto mentions that Darwin UFS is
supported in
NetBSD-current. Is it now integrated in a formal release or
still in
-current ?
What sound be the sound device ? Is it "snapper"
or "awacs" ? I don't see
anything in dmesg with the generic kernel.
What should be the way to send improvement/corrections
concerning the
install notes ? Via this mailing list or via submitting a PR
?
Thanx
Manu
