Which firmware revision do you use? The 1st generation iMac
I have here
( latest firmware update applied in order to install OS X )
refuses to
run /anything/ loaded from CD via OF - I had to copy
ofwboot.xcf to a
HFS partition, make OF load that, then point it to the
kernel on the CD
which got it booted ( which also proves that there's nothing
wrong with
the CD drive )
