Re: UMAX C500 weirdness

Hi,

On some Apus2000 (C500) 603e/200 machine, 1.6.2/macppc cdrom
boots fine 
(boot scsi/sd3:0).  But once installed, how to boot the
system ?

Here's the best I get,

0 > boot ata/ATA-Disk0:0
OF_open bootpath=/AAPL,ROM
read stage 2 blocks: 01234567. done!
starting stage 2...

Note. load-base (600000) and real-base (F00000) are fixed
(and the 
latter needs to be fixed again after machien's poweroff/on)

3.1 is much better since 1.6.x is EOL.

boot CD, and type "s" to get shell
# fsck -p /dev/rwd0a
# mount /dev/wd0a /mnt
# cp /usr/mdec/ofwboot /mnt
# umount /mnt
# installboot -v /dev/rwd0c /usr/mdec/bootxx /ofwboot
# reboot
