You need to wait for the hd to spin up and then
autoboot-boot? true

boot-command
0 15 do i 0= if ['] bye else ['] boot then catch 3E8 ms cr
-1 +loop

Hi Bruce
Thanks a million!!
That did (most) of the trick!!!!
Now the system do auto-boot...

Now the only kind missing is that the screen stays 95%
pitch-black....
I can see "something" vaguely happing on the
LCD... but it not next
to impossible to read!

Any way to increase the back-light on the LCD using some
"incantation" of the boot-commands ??

Hmm, looks like the firmware didn't bother to enable
backlight then. We
have code to deal with that ( just play with the brightness
buttons, on
2400/3400/3500 they should Just Work ) but I guess I'll have
to expose
a userland knob for that too.

have fun

Well.. that would be logical.... but the funny thing is that
the
brightness button does _not_ work when booting like
this....
However .. for my purpose I'm 95% happy as the
Powerbook now do
auto-boot .....
