The line "console..." has green color and it shows
a solid
block to the next line in purple.

Hi,

As a result of some hours binary search, I noticed that a
kernel built from the source (src/common and src/sys) as of
2006/08/02 (3.99.24, the last version of 3.99.x) works, but
that of 2006/08/10 (4.99.1) doesn't.

Most notable change between these versions is addition of
G5
support.  Has anyone with G4 machine a chance to check if
these kernel boot or not?

I'll take a closer look at the diffs.
