After some adventure updating my source trees [everything to
-current
and the PPC-based ports (except pmppc) to
"ppcoea-renovation"], I've
managed to build a fresh release for prep and update my
setup.
It still hangs probing esiop. Before that, wdc0 (slide0)
reported
"lost interrupt" much as I had seen previously on
macppc. I think I
updated after the most recent change to
"powerpc/pic/intr.c". I have
v1.1.2.18, 04:47:11 2007/09/07. I suspect that on prep the
problem lies
elsewhere.
