I have been using netbsd prep port on a 7248 via netboot.
So I know I have things setup properly.
Unfortunately I am unable to get my 7043 140 to boot the
kernel.
It downloads the image from tftpd fine, but just hangs (as
seen on
console, and display).
There appears to be some nfs activity afterwards, but the
system never
becomes responsive to anything but ping.

I will investigate further into what it is accessing on
netbsd.
My question is really in regards to there being no display
updates made
after it says "downloaded 3712 packets\n\n".

Maybe your graphics board isn't supported by bootloader or
the kernel.
Currently only some PCI VGA cards (S3, Cirrus, MGA) are
supported.

If your 7043 has unsupported one (like GXT1x0), you could
still try
serial console by bootimage with boot_com0 loader.

BTW, what image did you try?

I am able to boot fine, as long as I don't let rc go
multiuser.
Will spend some more time finding what is causing the
ddb> drop.
Also the default for cu was 8N1.
