As mentioned in another email, when using a Xen3 Dom0 under
NetBSD, use the 
noapic acpi=off nosmp options but for a DomU under linux,
there should be no 
need.

With reference to what I typed earlier, under linux, the
real device being 
specified, should be specified as seen by Dom0. For example:

disk = [ 'phy:/dev/hda,0x03,w' ,
'phy:/dev/cdrom,0x03,r']
