Hm the vlan interfaces have a 1496 Bytes MTU, the bridge has
got 1500. But how can I change the change the bridges MTU.
It doesn't work with the ifconfig comand and the man pages
says "Most devices don't support this option".

The parent interface is a normal rtk ethernet interface.

You can't.

Change its MTU to 1504 bytes and change the MTU of the VLAN
interfaces
to 1500 bytes afterwards.

It looks like rtk(4) devices don't support that (no big
surprise there).
I'm sorry but you have to get a decent ethernet card.

See e.g. ex(4) (using "man 4 ex"), epic(4) or
fxp(4) for 100Mb/s NICs
which support that. Or buy a Gigabit Ethernet card
preferably with an
Intel chip supported by wm(4) or a RealTek card supported by
re(4) if
you are on a really tight Budget.

	Kind regards

But it seems that I can't change the MTU of the rtk
interface to more
then 1500 Bytes.

"ifconfig: SIOCSIFMTU: Invalid argument"
