I'm not sure why 3.1.0 would change anything. Maybe it's
just a small timing
change in interrupts.

I don't have a full Xen install running current, yet. All my
systems are
running 4.0.
I'll try to have a -current install on a second disk.

Hum, don't you have a root= directive in your xen config
file ?
I couldn't reproduce the issue, unless there's root=
somewhere ...
