It should be. Well, except for the server auto-launch in
fcgi.
A few weeks ago I worked on a new class named
cherokee_process that
implemented an abstraction layer for all this stuff.
Unfortunately, I
didn't quite like the result so I didn't integrate it.
Anyway, I think that is something that ought to wait for the
0.7
release. Right now it would be a risk patch to integrate.

Agreed, although it will be a real pity to miss one of the
coolest
features of 0.6 when all the underneath work is done and
dusted.
