| Cosmo Carddav - new hibernate based
implementation |

Hey all,
I have been constantly updating my Carddav code to include all the
latest in the trunk and now its all ready to be landed in any time
(unless there are more major changes in the trunk). It conforms to
Carddav draft 0 and includes the stamping, hibernate annotation changes.
Let me know, when you feel is the right time to have it in trunk.
I know it won't be useful unless we have a client which implements it.
But once we have generic item support in the Cosmo UI, it would be easy
to have any custom type including address books in Cosmo.

Carddav Draft 1 was released recently but it will involve a bit more
work to completely conform to that draft. text collation is one of the
things that needs to be supported - which if designed in a nice manner
can be used by both Caldav and Carddav. Apart from that, draft 1 is neat
with the XML definitions cleaned up and a lot of corrections.
I look forward to have a nice *open* ajaxy interoperable address book
exchange mechanism available asap!

right on! i'd be happy to see this make it into preview. what do others think?

client developers tend to want server implementations to exist first,
so we'll overcome that barrier for them.

you and me both. this is my biggest pain point with my own pim usage.

I think that it makes sense to try to get this into 0.7. I think
that having you and Randy do a code review is the next step towards
making that happen. I'd like to be sure that if we get to the
table view in 0.7 that CardDAV items can appear in the detail view.

and conversely that items stamped as tasks are exposed as vcards
through carddav.
