Last week, there was a "Cosmo release meeting",
perhaps the first in the
0.7 cycle.
We decided it was time for weekly meetings as we're gearing
up for 0.7
release. (Other times in the cycle, release meetings might
only be
biweekly.)
There is a Cosmo release meeting planned today (Thursday)
for 2pm in
Gotham, using the conference bridge with this number: 626864
(800-391-1709).
I've asked Bobby to join us on the phone as the dev rep.
What's a release meeting? It's contrasted from an
engineering meeting
or bug council by two things.
One, it's cross-group; reps from Dev/Eng+QA+Service+PM are
expected for
best coordination. Two, it's explicitly process-oriented;
we'll usually
be reviewing checklists of "things remaining".
The overall goal is to coordinate the Chandler Server
release (the final
build + announcement) with work items needing coordination
before and
after official release: QA validation, service upgrade,
documentation,
etc. In general, the Cosmo 0.7 release is being coordinated
via
bugzilla and tracked via wiki page here:
