I went #cosmo on IRC yesterday because of a Evolution 2.6 problem. I talked to bcm and he told me to investigate further and post the results here.
The problem is as follows:
I downloaded osaf-server-bundle-0.3-0.1rc2.tar.gz and am running Evolution 2.6 as a client.
I can create and modify calendar entries with Evolution but I can't delete them.
I can delete them via the Scooby webinterface.
Access log says:
With Evolution: 10.98.0.150 - - [21/Apr/2006:02:22:20 +0100] "DELETE /cosmo/home/lcd/Scooby/20060421T001249Z.ics HTTP/1.1" 412 963 "-" "Evolution/1.6.1"
With Scooby: 127.0.0.1 - - [21/Apr/2006:02:30:57 +0100] "DELETE /cosmo/home/lcd/Scooby/20060421T001249Z.ics HTTP/1.1" 204 - "-" "Jakarta Commons-HttpClient/2.0.2"
For some reason I get 412 back with Evolution.
bcm asked me to try and capture the event with ethereal. He suspected Evolution did what he called: "sending an invalid etag in an If-Match or If-None-Match header"
