for several weeks now, we've been bombarded by spam, all of
which has the
following characteristics:
an optional preamble of random words or text phrases
followed by
an image touting a penny stock
followed by a set of either random text phrases or random
words.
of course, from address (and return path) appear to be
random user ids - like
lizmdkhsr at valid domains. the originating ips are always
places like brazil,
china, russia, etc.
i've sent a bunch of these to aspam - to no avail.
some folks for whom i forward to both aol and gmail tell me
these are getting
marked as spam by those services.
why can't surgemail see it?

ps - i'd send one to the list, but am afraid that it might
get marked as spam
and vanished <grin>
