After more testing, I see the reason. The folders were
empty and not
mirrored. Once I moved a piece of mail into the folder, it
was
available on the new webmail.

Unfortunately there is one scenario I can't check and was
hoping
someone could let me know yes or no.

I can't check to see if this only occured because of a new
change to
the folder which prompted a mirroring update. Can anybody
tell me
that they have seen existing folders created in webmail with
data in
them successfully mirror WITHOUT a change occurring?

I ask because when I make it the live system, if anybody
experiences
what I just saw, I'll need to tell them to move any file
into the
folder and it will be visible with the existing data at that
point.
Or if a populated folder will be visible without making a
change to
the existing folder on the old system.

This is a known problem. Surgemail doesn't mirror empty
directories. It
also doesn't mirror trash. The latter I'm not so concerned
about, but
the former is a bug, IMHO. I'm not sure if it's been
resolved in 3.8f or
not.

Aside from those two issues, I have not seen a problem with
mirroring
folders.

Empty folders are not normally mirrored across.

However with version 3.8 you can type this command into the
master.
tellmail resync_mkdir
which will create empty folders correctly on the slave.
