I have searched the mail lists
(surgemail and webmail) and there appears to have been an issue in the
past



I have a client "home for the holidays" currently in Barcelona



I have attempted to update his webmail quota to 100,000,000



I did that in 



/var/surgemail/domain.net/pb/gj/albertb/mdir/xfile/user.dat



Is that the right place?   Set the same value in the admin console,
does not seem to help



I am still running 



SurgeMail Version 3.7c-23

his webmail panel is still showing 20000000 as the quota
