I can't seem to find the command line syntax for forcing AVAST to update.  Anyone have that?

On the left menu, click on the Antivirus link, under the Spam Control link.
On the a/v page, click on the Update Now button.

OK

went through the instruction on the A/V page downloaded and installed the "new" engine, that got me a database dated 07-12-2005

Installed
3.8f2-2 successfully

(still had the old db)

the command I was looking for yesterday was av_avast -update

did that and now

AVAST virus database version 659-1 (16.12.2006)

Is anyone else on LINUX having the same issue?
