From time to time I have mail to yahoo.com delayed (and to
rogers.com,
a large Canadian ISP who outsources mail to yahoo).

I looked over their "postmaster webpages" where
they claim that they do
NOT use graylisting, but whatever they are doing sure
behaves like
graylisting. The mail is never refused, just delayed.

They also have a support form you can fill out to request
help on
finding out why your mail is delayed. Miraculously, whenever
I fill it
out (twice now) I never get any response, but the
graylisting behaviour
stops.

I filled it out once last year in September or November, but
come
January, their
"do-something-that-looks-like-graylisting-to-this-guy&q
uot;
flag must have been reset.

I have proper SPF records in place - but not Domain Keys.
They might be
more forgiving if you used Domain Keys.

The prtc.net warning looks like they count mail from your
server and
enforce some kind of DNS rule if you exceed a quota. It is a
452 error
which means the mail should just be queued for a while and
then go
through. I would send an email to postmasterprtc.net
and ask why they
are throttling legitimate mail to their users.

Neil Herber ,
Thanks for your help. Did you have the link to fill out that
form on
yahoo? Oh my god my queue is getting bigger and bigger every
hour.
Messages are going out but slowly.

A search for "yahoo postmaster" on Yahoo gives
this as the first hit:

> h
ttp://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/defer/index.html

It has a series of questions and answer links. You should
read a few to
make sure they don't apply to you.

The form is at:

> http
://add.yahoo.com/fast/help/us/mail/cgi_defer

But read the suggestions they make here first:

Where do they locate this page as I do notice rogers.com
delaying
forwarded email.

I use Domainkeys but I'm not sure if it actually applies in
forwarded
mail case. Certainly my local application has not helped.
