I suspect the problem is at the sending point, some email
clients modify what they
 send based on the destination, you could check this  by
forwarding the message from
the non surgemail account to the list to see if that works.


If it is being corrupted via the list then send me the full
message (headers/body) as it appears
in the users inbox folder and the same message sent to a
normal account to compare.  

Also let me know if you are running FPROT (the virus
scanner).
