We're just thinking of setting up three filters that a user
can choose
between and activate if they want to. That would remove
responsiblity from
me to set a global spam level.
I know how to set the filter, its just that I can't spot how
to leave it
disabled and give the users the ability to enable it on
their account. It
seems to be on or off but not user choosable.

Kevin,
That sounds like a great idea, maybe we can persuade Netwin
to include
that option in the future?

Well, whatever you choose should be a add-on page to the
Webmail menu, and should be per the Group they are assigned to and the CGI
Features that are made available to that group... so maybe you can create a
.html page for the group name, and have clickable buttons on it... which then
runs a script on the server... to modify the appropriate .rul file. Perl
can do that... in fact, you can even write the perl scripts to check for user's
current settings prior to making an additional change. In fact, maybe
a MySql database might even be better. Just 'include' the db's
resulting URLs in the bottom of the appropriate .rul file, like NetWin does
now.
The only problem would be the delay... as the .rul files
are not reloaded frequently. Thus, maybe the place to plug it into would
be the Filtering button in user's interface (exceptions & filters page)
which is friends.rul
Brainstorm....
