More clues.
My server status page shows the right time:
Version: OSX 3.8g-6 11/23/06 16:01:04 (Special pre-release
version
installed)
Uptime : 3 days 17:28:15 Server time: Sun Mar 18 18:39:53
2007
A message sent to myself from the same server hosting
Surgemail shows
the raw message stamped with the same time but different GMT
adjustment as it is received by SMTP. The real time this
message was
sent is Fri, 16 Mar 2007 17:44:01 -0400. All latest Apple
DST
upgrades applied.

Webmail displays the time as
3/16/2007 5:44:01 pm
which is correct! The Received header is generated
incorrectly in my
case.
Now I have to figure out how scavs.pl virus check generated
this
time: Fri Mar 16 12:11:20 2007???
