The search button on the archive page doesn't work here... Maybe that means it's really broke here<GRIN>???

I am going to have to wait until NetWin weighs in on this discussion.

The only thing I managed to change was by specifying a directory instead of a file, I managed to get it to say it searched 5 files instead of 1, but nothing I tried managed to actually find a single email with archive_search.

I cann't even get tellmail archive_search or archive_extract to give me a meaningfull error.

There is no documentation on the netwin website for these two tellmail commands. Are they commands that may disappear or just not documented? ; I tend to get concerned about undocumented features...

It would be nice if there was an option in Archive to drop them in a specific account & IMAP folder.

P.S. I have an archive going and am going to play some more this afternoon.

Give it a shot, set up the archive. (I set up one for receiving and one for sending). Then tomorrow - or in a few hours. do an extract, mind you I've only extracted and used it with webmail - I have not tried to use it for outlook and I do not know if it would or not. I understood it was sort of an IMAP type of thing - so maybe you can setup a separate IMAP account within Outlook - but I'm really only speculating on this point.

If that works, it would not be too hard to drop the emails into an admin account once a day with a cron job.

I am unsure if this helps, but it's a tellmail command.

You can search these using the tellmail commands:

archive_search myarchive mail_store_accountnew to=* from=* subject=*

range=01/01/2007-07/01/2007

and

archive_extract myarchive mail_store_accountnew to=* from=* subject=*

range=01/01/2007-07/01/2007

David,
I agree that it would seem using archive is a good approach. Is there documentation on how to move email from the archive to a mailbox? I see that function is hinted at in the documentation, but have not found anything further on how to do that. ; Nor have I found anything in the webadmin other than putting the archive in a file somewhere.

This particular customer does want it in a mailbox.

Thanks,

Lyle,

Having had to do this in the past, the most reasonable, scalable, and
easiest to monitor solution is archive. Archive has the capability of
delivering mail out of the archive to any specific mailbox. I don't know if
you can schedule it to happen automatically, but you can command it via the
web interface, and apply filters as well.

Ok, I was a bit quick. The domain rule does catch ALL inbound email.
But it doesn't catch any outbound email. Is there a way to 'mirror'
