1.  Are they logging in before sending on that server?
2.  Are they on dialup and have checked "hang up after
sending and 
receiving"?
3. If they use outlook, find the option that allows a pop
before smtp.

Are you using SMTP authentication from your mail client?

How about someone else in your domain (area) sending to the
same address?
