No, that is incorrect. The subject is a header and is issued
after the DATA
command before the blank line. I tried it just to be
thurough and received
an error on the command line.

Yes, but none of them should be screwing with the headers
(as in not
showing them or forgeting them).
I'm just concerned that I am entering them in the wrong
order but I can't
find anything that says the headers have to be in a specific
order. Which
leaves me to think that surgemail may have a bug in it that
does not allow
a telnet session from a windows box to enter these
commands.
