If I send out a message that complies with the US Can-Spam
Act, then I
get points added by Surgemail and Assassin. Real spammers,
of course,
knowing this don't add instructions on how to unsubscribe or
anything
else that would comply with the law.

Maybe I need to come up with more creative words that say
the same
things? Something like "if you don't want to receive
these messages
anymore, then send an email to: "?

Can you add an mfilter rule to subtract points if it comes across matching text for surgemail?

Oh, I could solve the incoming problems easy enough by modifying the rules and I have.
It's the outgoing messages that are the big headache. Run any list and your are supposed to comply with the Act. Do so, and your mail can be rejected for too many points. Using the word "invite" anywhere in the email + "unsubscribe" and ding-ding-ding, the email can be rejected as obvious spam.
