There are two likely causes for this:
1) dlist has died, look for a core file and send us the
resulting
backtrace, also the dlist.log file as it is before dlist
gets restarted.
2) dlist could be stuck on a large list, if you have one
or more
'very' large lists this can slow dlist down. In many
cases this can
be fixed by adjusting the list settings or adjusting your
spam/virus
settings so each message from dlist is not scanned (as this
can be the
real cause of the slow down)
As a first step examine dlist.log when sending to your
biggest mailing
list, does it show slow steady progress, if so what rate is
it sending,
then examine mail.log to try and identify what is slowing
delivery
down, then if you can't find it send the details to us:
dlist.log (during sending a large list)
lists.dat
surgemail.ini
mail.log (during sending a large list)
