The problem fundamentally is because webmail is trying to
connect to the
user.cgi to get a bunch of span control settings. It
normally tries this
on the same port you connect on. However webmail itself does
not support
https (this is all done by the webserver) so I think it is
actually
trying to connect to the https port using http.
You should be able to add an appropriate
user_cgi_http_prefix setting as
it suggests to fore it to connect to the right server / port
combination. If you have already tried that send us your
surgemail.ini
(to surgemail-support netwinsite.com) for further comment.
