Check the surgemail advanced status page via the web admin /
"tellmail
status" command when this happens. This will tell you
where all the
connections are coming from. This should be able to show you
whether
they are valid connections or not. If they are all indeed
webmail
connections check to make sure you do not have a large
number of webmail
processes continuing to run for some reason. If yuo do one
needs to
further investigate to make sure that the connections are
not hitting
some form of timeout or anything like that.

How many users do you have and how many concurrent
connections would you
expect?

office. The problem occurs intermittently on all of our
machines - some macs some PCs. It doesn't seem to matter
what browser is used. There is frequently a message
suggesting "already 31/30 connections" regarding
G_WEB_MAX_USER_PERIP. Whatever value this option gets
changed to it always seems to exceed that number of
connection. The server never indicates there are that number
of active connections from the IP address in question. Any
ideas?
