is it safe to rename sendmail.log?

unlike other logs, sendmail.log does not auto rotate. is it
safe to rename the 
current log file while surgemail is running? it's getting
rather large and i'd 
like to archive it off somewhere and start a new one.

Yes no problems, I'll make a note for myself to add a
rotation/max size 
setting for the log.
