Looking for some help in setting up a cluster of Surgemail

Hello All -

I have 2 servers (server1, and server2) that I want to
run Surgemail/Webmail on. They are Linux Based. They
will have a shared directory called /mail on server3
that they will connect to via NFS.

Does anybody have some sample configs on how to set
this up that they would share with me .

Thanks,

www.netwinsite.com/surgemail/help/mirror.htm shows how to setup server 1 & 2 where nothing gets lots, and you don't even NEED server #3.
or.... www.netwinsite.com/surgemail/help/clustering.htm ; may be another good setup.

Surgemail sets itself up on port 80 unless you specify otherwise.  So if you're running other services on the computers, consider that.

Domains cannot have duplicate customer accounts.
What's the purpose of the hash directories?  i.e.  /mbox/1usa.net/bf/jg/user/

I would assume to balance the number of lower level
directories in
each directory.

This would prevent extremely large directories from forming
based on
more common initial letters etc.

By ensuring that large directories are not formed, you
reduce the
potential for performance impacts when reading the inodes
etc.

That is correct, a lot of entries in a directory can have a
very big
impact on access times.
