You'll have to update each one everytime you add a domain.
Unless you come
up with some kind of script to automate it for you. I don't
use the include
directives, I'm pretty sure SurgeMail has them, so you might
be able to
come up with a surgemail.ini that is generic to each server
with an include
line that pulls in the server specific info. Then you could
automate
copying the surgemail.ini to each server on demand.

Well, at least I'll only have to update a couple of
servers everytime I add a domian... I guess it could
be a lot worse..

It would be cool if I could put the INI File in a
shared place and have all of the servers read it.

Thanks for the help,

Undocumented feature
country flaguser name
United States

One of my users was complaining that his name was not
showing up on
email being sent to addressees. After a bit of testing I
have
figured out that this is an "undocumented feature"
of the Webmail
interface. If one uses the default "Panel Set"
template it works as
one would expect. Namely the "Name" field is sent
so you
see something like Orin Wells only. But if you use the
smooth
parchment template (as this user was doing) all you see is
the email
address orinwellsawasco.com.

Any chance we can get the different templates to function
consistently when sending email?

Or was this by design?

And while I am at it, is there some way to make the
reply-to-address
look like "Orin Wells" <orinwellsawasco.com> on the receiving end
instead of just orinwellsawasco.com? It appears
that surgemail
forces a replyto address of just the email account unless
you stuff
something else in the default reply to address. And it does
not seem
to be possible to force anything into this field other than
an email
address and have any hope it will work. I would like to see
"Orin
Wells" <orinwellsawasco.com> as the reply
to so that when I look
through my out box I can see the person to whom I sent a
reply. If
someone has an account that is somthing like "Robert
Smith"
<bigdogsomeplace.com> all I am going to see is
"bigdogsomeplace.com" in the outbox.

It may have been by design. One could almost certainly fix
that by
modifying the template/variable in question to match the
other one.
If you can't figure it out let us know.

Start by viewing each source file to find out the template
name to
examine, then look for the variable that is being used for
each case.

We will look into that.

At 10:10 AM -0800 10/29/07, Orin Wells sent email regarding

Just out of curiosity, why not: Orin Wells <orinwellsawasco.com>?
Why the quotes?
