alias a whole domain

How can I alias a whole domain?  DO I set it up in my
DNS settings? or is there somewhere in surgemail I can
tell it that domain2.com = domain1.com

On the "Domain settings for xxx.com" page, you
will see an option called 
"Alternate names(s) for
this domain" in the "Important domain
settings" section. You add the 
alias domain in there.

In DNS just point the aliased domain MX record to the mail
server.
