Are logged in to OSX as root or into the terminal as root?

I just did a clean install of surgemail 3.8s-1 into a clean
install of
OSX 10.5.1 and it worked without any problems for me.

I was logged in to OSX as a user (but admin account) and
logged in to
terminal as root. Then ran the installer as
sh-3.2# ./install.sh -asuser root

The installation went fine and it did not ask for any
additional
passwords etc. (In general surgemail is installed under the
unix mail
user, but in the past I have had some difficulties with this
in terms
of creating to user account properly etc. )

Install to 10.5 should be fine.
