I had the same problem. Actuall the message does go through,
but can't
be received by the sender. Now I am using a new build that
was emailed
to me. I use Windows.
It didn't "fix" anything for a few days. But then,
magically, it fixed
the problem.

I'm using OSX 3.8t-6 01/21/08 11:03:34 (Special pre-release

Maybe I should revert. This does seem like a recent, new
problem.

"From and
Envelope-from must both be local domains"
Why are you requiring yahoo emails to be in your local
domains in order to receive emails from them?
Is this also happening to other domains?

*I* am not requiring this. It just started happening. I
don't
understand this requirement or where it came from.
>Is this also happening to other domains?
It seems to be happening to just one user at one domain.
She reported that her posts to various Yahoo Groups lists
were not
coming through. I'm investigating why. Did she create some
sort of
rule that is causing this?

4 days later: (it feels longer than
that...)
Warren:
Did you go check the customer's filtering
rules?
I'd go into /mbox/mailbox/ and review all what's in
there. Maybe there's an incomplete filter in her filtering
rules.
Also you could .Zip those files and copy the rules from
another customer's directory... someone who has no custom filtering
rules.
As a last resort: If there's still a glitch in
there, have you thought about giving the customer a new account?
Emails coming into the old account can be redirected to
the new account using the Redirect page.
Yahoo Groups in general: I've found that there
should be a customer filter (on the customer's filtering page) for
[keyword] in the subject line to ensure that all yayhoo group emails aren't
challenged or rejected.

I've only looked at her rules via web admin. She has a lot
of reject
and some Vanish rules based on subject and From, but nothing
there
which would account for losing lots of Yahoo Groups email.
Would an
"incomplete filter" be some sort of rogue,
deleting or rejecting
email randomly?

Actually, in response to her problem, I set up some global
filters to Accept:
envelope-from contains returns.groups.yahoo.com
To contains returns.groups.yahoo.com
>From contains returns.groups.yahoo.com
in an effort to ensure that Yahoo Groups mail comes
through.
You're suggesting Accept rules based on the [subject] of
each group
email? I'll suggest that. Thanks.

I'll suggest that. Thanks.
Yes - because there are
some Yayhoo groups that are spam groups pretending to have a legit reason.
Someone adds your email address on your behalf. I've seen it.
So... on the customer's filtering page, If Subject
Contains [name-of-group] then Accept
is how we do it here.
