I'm in the same position here. Groupware is in demand.
Quality is not. Just
look at the number of desktop's running windows. What
happened to OS2? -
fluff happened and now were running windows. It's now only a
matter of time
before I'm forced into an exchange solution here if Netwin
doesn't provide
equivalent in their products. Not something I want to do but
I may be
forced to.

We have customers that have moved off of surgemail and over to the Google hosted solution purely for the speed/performance/usability issues that the default templates create. This is a big bummer as it forces us to manage dual email infrastructures and that is just not a strategy that can be sustained over time. Unfortunately, more and more of our customers are complaining which is raising the issue higher and higher.

I think blogs was interesting but whatever Product Manager was on that probably did not analyze the market closely enough and see that there are many many blog solutions out there for every platform known to man. Surge needs to provide a solid user mail experience to match its back-end robustness and focus on more solid groupware experiences, mobile integrations etc.

Love surge but this usability issue is driving the business away. I know it seems minor but its actually the biggest battle we fight now. That said, its awesome that the one battle I NEVER fight anymore is bad infrastructure, thanks!
